“After years of featuring every kind of sport you could think of for the Jake Maddox series of Stone Arch children’s books I was given the chance to do something new. A line of books based off of Nascar Racing.

At first I was a little hesitant to take on the job. I loved drawing people playing sports but I just wasn’t a car guy. So, it was with a little unease that I took the job and accepted the challenge.

So, to say I was happy with the results of these books would be a huge understatement. Not only was I really happy with the way the stories themselves turned out but the work I did on the race cars showed me that if I thought things through and did my best that I could be a decent car artist.”
